The Final Programme is now online available.

Greetings

Ladies and Gentlemen,

On behalf of the German Atomic Forum and the German Nuclear Society, we would like to extend a cordial invitation to attend the upcoming Annual Meeting on Nuclear Technology 2012.

Since our last meeting was strongly influenced both emotionally and in terms of content by the events in Fukushima, this year we would like to pick up on the requests for in-depth expert discussion and give this pride of place on the plenary day.

Our meeting, which will be held in the Kultur- und Kongresszentrum Liederhalle Stuttgart from 22 to 24 May 2012, will begin as it did recently in Berlin with the Plenary Session on Tuesday afternoon. We would like to focus on the international challenges for energy policy and the further development of nuclear energy as an integral part of the European and international energy supply. In the Plenary Session we will deal in depth with the topic of waste management and deep geological disposal. We are therefore also canvassing a large proportion of overseas speakers, exhibitors and attendees. As usual, a get-together, the concert by the Camerata Nucleare and the social evening at the exhibition will create the framework for bringing the first day to a close together.

There will be chance on the following two days of the meeting to gather extensive information on global trends and developments relating to the peaceful use of nuclear energy in Topical Sessions and a numerous Technical Sessions.

As the largest meeting of its kind in Europe, our event should also provide you with the best opportunities for making new contacts and growing your professional network in 2012.

We invite you to look forward with us to engaging debates on hot topics, lively discussions and an interesting social programme.

Kind regards

Dr. Ralf Güldner                                                            Dr. Astrid Petersen
President of the German Atomic Forum                  Chairwoman of the German Nuclear Society
